While at major intersections, do you move around in all 4 directions to find the right bus stop? This guide will help you determine your bus stop’s exact location. As an example, bus route 102 is taken as reference.

Check upcoming Bus at Bus Stop

You can zoom in on any bus stop and tap the blue transit icon. Once you tap the transit icon, it should show upcoming buses at that bus stop.

By Tapping on transit icon that is above St Clair Ave E, Google Maps will display all the upcoming bus for that stop. With this, you can verify right place to wait while travelling to Warden Station.

At some places, transit icons are misplaced on Google Maps. In that case, best option is to tap on other transit icon stops around that area and determine your exact bus stop.

Time shown on Google Maps may not be accurate. For an accurate time, consider sending an SMS with the bus stop number to 898882.

You must also make sure which bus will stop at your destination. Bus numbers starting with 9 are part of the Express network (902 follows the same route as 102 but stops only at major intersections). If your destination is not at a major intersection, you may want to wait for 102 or 9 if the destination is in between.

985 is Express route – Express buses help travel quickly as they are planned to stop only at major intersections unlike normal routes.

385 is a blue network that runs during night time. You can expect bus number 385 at night.

Next vehicle information displays a unique stop number to check waiting time for next bus. By texting 7161 to 89882, you can receive automated reply with next few upcoming bus for this bus stop.

Before boarding the bus, make sure to check the bus sign as there are multiple routes for several series of buses.

Trick to get enough space in a bus

During busy hours, its nearly impossible to get enough room on routes that has school or too many businesses. While you cannot change your travel time, you can check for express routes or wait for next bus if it’s in next few minutes.

At any subway station, a live waiting time will be displayed on a TV Screen at every subway station. However, if you are far from screen or would like to check status of other routes, You can check stop number on TTC website and text it to 898882.
